Setting up my Temple

Tonight I claimed my sacred space where I will be practicing magick spells.  I used the following ritual:

Clean: Sweep or vacuum the space to remove any dust or dirt. Now scrub the whole area with a mixture of sea salt, water and a cleaning agent.

Purify: This is preferably performed during a full moon. Place a dish filled with water in the center of your space. Kneel in front of it and imagine a beam of light shooting down directly above your head. Fill the light enter your body through your head and surge throughout your whole body. Now direct the light down through your arm and into the water. When you have passed the energy to the water, say:

"I direct my power,
through the spirits of the God & Goddess,
into this water,
that it might be pure and clean,
as is my love
for the Lord and the Lady."

Now add a tablespoon of sea salt to the water and stir it clockwise with your finger 9 times and say 3 times:

"Salt is life. Here is life,
Sacred and new; without strife."

Now, using your fingers, sprinkle the mixture around the whole space and say the words below:

"Ever as I pass through the ways
do I feel the presence of the gods.
I know that in aught I do
they are with me!
They abide in me
and I in them,
forever.
No evil shall be entertained,
for purity is the dweller
within me and about me.
For good do I strive
and for good do I live.
Love unto all things.
So be it, forever."

The above is a Seax-Wica Psalm

Cense: Now, using a swinging censer, light some incense and repeat the same lines used when you sprinkled while swinging the incense around the entire sacred area.

This ritual is from Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft (Llewellyn's Practical Magick). I changed it just a bit, but mostly used it the way it was originally written.
